We would recommend flights to Pisa as they are more frequent and reliable than flights to Florence. They also tend to be more affordable.
Hiring a car is the easiest option if you are comfortable driving in Italy. Otherwise, there is a direct train from Pisa Centrale which takes 32 minutes to Montecatini Terme. You can get a tram from Pisa Airport to Pisa Centrale and it only takes 5 minutes.
More information about the train can be found here: www.rome2rio.com
The church is called the Parrocchia S. Pietro Apostolo in the hilltop town of Montecatini Alto. The quickest way to get from Montecatini Terme to the church is via the funicular/cable car which takes you from the centre of Montecatini Terme to pretty much next to the church. The journey takes 8 minutes. As it will be peak tourist season, we are trying to reserve tickets in advance.
The other option is to take your car or a taxi. With both options, there will be a 10-15 minute walk to the church so please wear comfortable shoes as there are cobbled streets and it is on a slight incline. It is not possible to get the taxis any closer to the church. Please let us know if you need help walking to the church as we can organise special transport.
We are also arranging a coach. Details TBC.
Our reception is at the Terme Tettucio Spa. We will update travel arrangements closer to the time.
